All of the hard work by the GSFI team paid off for an enjoyable evening at the Town hall.
Albany was the only centre, outside of Perth, to have a showing as part of the International Revelation Film festival. With Perth crowds growing a massive 40% in numbers this year, we could not believe our small crowd of only 120.
Where was everyone?
Despite this, the evening was a great success. With the tunes of Minute 36 and a pre film drink, a fabulous atmosphere set for the night.
The Family Jams was one of those documentary you either loved or really disliked. We certainly received some mixed reviews of what people thought and how they enjoyed the film. We have no doubt however, those Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom fans enjoyed quite a treat.
Stingray Sam certainly proved the favourite, and if you missed it…you really missed out on a great laugh. Another fantastic film from Cory McAbee, taking the viewers on a wild ride of sci-fi dystopia and classic western. I can still here the songs!
